Strong4Life Website

I managed the development and maintenance of the child advocacy resource site and parenting blog Strong4Life.com, for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

The site is built on the Sitecore CMS and is developed in tandem with the hospital’s patient-facing site, choa.org

Strong4Life Homepage

In my first months at Children’s I developed and launched web assets for Strong4Life’s multi-year Raising Resilience campaign. The site’s Raising Resilience hub will serve as a home for an ever-growing collection of behavioral health related resources for parents of children throughout the state of Georgia.

Digital Asset Management

During the summer of 2022, I supervised a Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta intern as she assisted with the conversion and compression of all digital image assets on Strong4Life.com. This included over 2,000 images, charts and infographics which were re-titled, converted, compressed and re-uploaded to the site in order to improve page load times. During this process we also audited and updated alt-text on all of the site’s images in order to maintain compliance with ADA standards.

SEO Improvements

I have also overseen the implementation of SEO best practices on Strong4Life.com based upon recommendations from an external agency partner. This process began with an audit of articles acquiring a significant share of their traffic from organic search. A second audit investigated articles which were underperforming similar content identified in a competitive analysis. From there, keyword research was conducted and article copy was re-written to better address popular search queries from parents in each article’s target demographic.

These efforts led to 31% year-over-year growth in traffic originating from organic search across the site. At the individual page level, more than 50% growth in traffic on Strong4Life’s most popular article, 10 Tasty Packed Lunch Ideas for School Aged Kids, in the second half of 2022 as well as significant gains in traffic on the site’s child passenger safety content.
