The Atlanta Area Council publishes its Program Planning Guide annually each spring. The guide includes introductory information for new volunteers and a calendar of events for the next eighteen months.
I have managed the production of the Program Planning Guide since 2016 including overseeing copy revisions, selling advertising and layout designing the final printed guide.
For the guide’s 2017 edition I completed a full re-design to bring the document in line with the organization’s updated brand standards. I also implemented a three-year cycle for the guide’s cover designs. Each year the guide would feature one of the Boy Scouts of America’s three signature program uniforms on the cover.
The cover and other visual assets are designed in Adobe Illustrator. The guide is assembled and its layout designed in Adobe InDesign. 30,000 printed copies are distributed annually and a digital version is hosted on the council’s website.
